5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

૫ કે હું ોષવા શેહેરમાં પરારથના કરતો હતો ને મેં સુરીંગ ત થઈને દરશણુનાં એક વાણુ સ્નેહાટી ચાદરના શરખું ચારે ખું ણે બાંધેલું આકાશથી ઝુંકેનું ઊતરતું દીઠું ને તે હું ક્ષુધી આએવું

6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

• તેણેમાં એ જૈવાને નન રાખું ને પરથવી પરનાં ચાર પાં તથા વશ વગરનાં બંનવરા તથા પેટે ચાલનારાં તથા આકાશનાં પખશીઓને દીઠાં

7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

ને મને કેહેતાં ને હેવી વાણી સાંભલી કે પીતર ઊઠ ભાર ને ખા

8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

૮ પણ ને કહું ઓ પરભુ અઁન નહ્યું કેમકે જે અધ અથવા અપવીતર તે નાહારા નેાામાં કદી પેઠું નથી

9 But the voice answered me again from haaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

૮ પણ પૃથ્વી આકાશથી વાણીએ મને જવાબ દીધા કે જે કંઈ

ટવ પલીતર કીધું તેને તુ અશ્રુધ ન કેહુ

10 And this was done three times and all were drawn up again into heaven.

૧ ને એ તરણ વાર થઊ પછી બધાઁ આકાશમાં પાર્થાં ખેંચા

11 And, behold, immediately there were three men al

ready come unto the house where I was, sent from Cesa

rea unto me.

૧૧ ને છુ કાઇશારીથી નાહારી પાર્થે મોકલેલાં તરણુ માં ગુશ જે ઘરમાં હું હુતા તાંહાં તુરતજ પહોંચર્યાં હતાં

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house.

૧૨ તે પર આતભાએ મને કહ્યું કે કંઇ સંધે ન રાખતાં તેઓની શાથે ન તાહારે આ છુ ભાઈ પણ નાહારી શાથે આએવા ને હુને તે માઁણુશના ઘરમાં પેઠા

13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

૧૩ તારે તેણે હમને અન ખબર કી કે તેણે પોતાના ઘરમાં દુત દીઠા જેણે ઊભા રહીને તેહેને કહ્યું કે નેષપાનાં માંથે નોક લ ને શીખાનને નેની અટક પીતર છે તેને તેડાવ

14 Who shall tell the words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

૧૪ તે તને હેવી વાતા કેહેશ જેથી તું પાતાના આખા ઘરનાં શુ ધાં તારણ પાઁનશે *

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

૧૫ ને ને કેહેવા માંડું તારે જૈન આરંભમાં હુમ પર તેમ તે આ પર પણ પીતર આતમા પંડા

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

૧૬ તાહારે પરભુની કહેલી વાત ને ગંભારી કે ઈહાને પાણીએ બાપતીશન કીધું ખરૂ પણ તમે પીતર આતનાએ બાપતીશમ પાઁતથા

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

૧૭ એમાંટે પરભુ ઇશ્યુ ખરીશટ પર હન વીશવાશ કરનારા ને જૈનમ તેને દેત્રે શનાન દાન એવું તે હવે હું કાણુ હુ તો કે દેવને રોકી શકું

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

૧૮ ને તે વાતેા શાંભલીને એએ ચુપ રહા ને દેવને મહીના આ પતાં બાલા કે દેવે તે પરદેશીઓને પણ જીવનને શારૂ પશતાના આએપાછું

19 f[ Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

૧૯ ને શતેાન શબંધી જે શતાવણી થઇ તેથી જે તાક ભેરાઈ ગઆ હુતા તેઓ ીનીકે તથા કુપરા તથા અંતીઓખ સુધી એકલા ઇહુદીઓને વાત પરગટ કરતા ગ

20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

૨૦ પણ તેમાંનાં કેટલાંએક કુપરશનાં તથા કુરેનીનાં નાંણુશ હુતાં તેઓ મતીઓખનાં પેશીને પરભુ ઈશુના શારા શમાચાર પરગટ કરતાં હેલલાશીઓની શાથે ખાલાં

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

૨૧ ને પરભુનો હાથ તેની ગમ હુતો ને ઘણા લોક વીશવાશ કરીને પરજીની ગઞ ફેરા

22 | Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

૨૨ ને તે વાત શ×ધીની ખબર ઇશાલેનની મંડલીના લોકોના કાઁના સુધી પાહેૉંચી તાારે તેઓએ બારણબાને અંતીખ શુધી જવા શારૂ મોકલા

23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

૨૩ તે તાંહાઁ આવીને તથા દેવની કીરપા નૈઈને આનંદ પાં ને તેઓ નનના નીશચેપણાથી પરભુ શાથે નલી રેહે માટે તેણે તે શરવને ઝુબાધ કીધો

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith and much people was added unto the Lord. ૨૪ કેનકે તે શારૂં નાઁણૂશ એટલે પીતર આતનાએ તથા બી શુવાગે ભરેલા હુતો ને ઘણા લેાક પરભુની ગભ વધરા

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul. ૨૫ તાહારે બારણબા શાઊલની શેાધ કરવા શારૂ તારશશમાં ગઓ

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much peeple. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

૨૬ ને તેહેની શાધલાગા પર તે તેણેને અતીખનાં લાએવા તાારે અન થી કે તેઓએ એક આખું વશ મંડલીમાં એકઠા થ કીધું ને ઘણા લોકોને ઊપદેશ કીધો ને શીશ અંતીખમાં પહેલાં ખત્રીશ્રી કેહુવા

27 | And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch,

8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he said unto lim, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

૮ ને દુતે તેને કહું કે તું કમર બાંધ ને તાહારાં ચપલ પહેરે ને તેણે તેનજ કીધું પછી તેણે તેહેને કહું કે હું તાહારૂં બ્રુઘરું હોડીને ના હાડી પછવાડે આવ *

9 And he went out, and followed hin; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

૯ ને તે બાહાર નીકલીને તેની પાછલ ગ ને દુતથી જે થઈ તે ખરૂં છે અન તે શનને નહીં પણ પોતે દરશણુ દેખેષ્ઠ અન ધારૂં

10 When they were past the first and the second ward they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

૧૦ ને તે પહેલી તથા બીજી ચાકી પાર જઈને શહેરનાં જવા નો જે સેહેાડાના દરવાળે તે પર પહોંચા તે પેાતાની મેલે તેઓ ને શારૂ ઊઘડીગ માટે તે નીકલીને એક મેહેલા જેટલે આગલ ગ ને તુરત દુત તેહેની પાશેથી ગ

11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

૧૧ ને પીતર શાવધાન થઈને કહું હવે તો હું નીશચે ાણુઊં કે પરભુએ પોતાના દુતને નાકલીને હેરોદના હાથથી તથા ઇહુદી લો કોના શરવ વાટ બ્લેવાથી મને છેડાએવાછે *

12 And when he had considerd the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were
