Sybil expected, but he brought her no news. He had left her note with the old woman in Hertford Street, as she had told him that she was expecting Mr. Morley's servant to come up that day, who would take the letters back with him. He would know how soon his master intended to return, and she had promised to let Hervey know, if possible, that evening.

"And is that all?" said Sybil, looking very much perplexed.
