CALLED "GLORY" IN THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES.* Jer. xii, 2. Thou hast planted Prov. vii, 22, 23. He goeth after them, yea, they have taken root: her straightway, till a dart they grow, yea, they bring forth strike through his liver. . . . . fruit: thou art near in their Lam. ii, 11.... He poureth out my gall upon the ground. *The original meaning of "Glory" is weight, and the Liver is so called from being the heaviest of the internal organs. See also 2 Cor. iv, 17.
