It is in the verses at the end that Wynkyn de Worde states that he printed the work at the "prayer and desire" of "Roger Thorney Mercer "; and mentions "William Caxton first prynter of this boke in laten tongue at Coleyn hyself to avaūce" and "John Tate the Yonger...which late hathe in Englonds doo make this paper thynne, that now in our englyssh this boke is prynted inne."
