4. Cases which are doubtful as to income eligibility or as to the nature of the case (i.e., where there may be a possible fee) shall be referred to Lawyer Referral. Upon rejection by at least two members of Lawyer Referral, these matters may be accepted by the Society. 5. a. Adoption cases will be handled when the Juvenile Court agrees to abate the costs. b. Divorces will be handled if all attempts at reconciliation, including marriage counseling, have proven fruitless and the case has been rejected by two members of Lawyer Referral as provided in Section 4 hereof. 6. Cases shall be rejected if, in the opinion of the Society attorney assigned to handle same, they are wholly lacking in merit from the standpoint of justice or the law. 7. After acceptance of a case, the attorney for the Society may withdraw as counsel and close a case where: a. It is discovered that the client has means to pay a private attorney. b. The client becomes unduly vindictive, willfully conceals or misrepresents material facts or fails without reasonable excuses to cooperate. c. Further service appears to be clearly futile. d.
