13th.-Thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and glory in the Holy One of Israel. Isa. xli. 16. xlv. 25.

In rapture of joy, my life I employ,
The God of my life to proclaim;

'Tis worth living for this, to administer bliss,
And salvation in Jesus' name.

14th.-Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Ps. ciii. 13. Mal. iii. 17.

My father, God! how sweet the sound,
How tender and how dear;

Not all the harmony of heav'n

Could so delight the ear.

15th.-The Lord's mercies are

new

every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lam. iii. 23. Isa. xxxiii. 2.

My God, how endless is thy love,
Thy gifts are every evening new;
And morning mercies from above
Gently distil like early dew.

16th. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Ps. xxxiv. 10. Job. iv. 10, 11. Ps. lxxxiv. 11.

How glorious is my privilege,

To thee for help I call;

I stand upon a mountain's hedge,
O, save me, lest I fall.

17th. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and

is safe. 51.

Should storms of seven-fold thunder roll,
And shake the globe from pole to pole;
No flaming bolts should daunt my face,
For Jesus is my hiding-place.

18th.-The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear. Ps. xxviii. 1. lxxxiv. 11. Isa. 10, 29. Exod. xv. 2. Why should the saints be fill'd with dread, Or yield their joys to slavish fears? Heaven can't be full which holds the Head, Till every member's present there! 19th.-Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Pet. iii. 18. Eph. iv. 15.

Perfect our souls in every grace
T'accomplish all his will;

And all that's pleasing in his sight,
Inspire us to fulfil.

20th.-The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Ps. xxiii. 1. Isa. xl. 11. Jer. xxiii. 4.

Thy hand in sight of all my foes,
Doth still my table spread;

My cup with blessings overflows,
Thine oil anoints my head.

21st. I am thy shield, thy exceeding great reward. Gen. xv. 1. Ps. iii. 3. v. 12. lxxxiv. 11. xvi. 5.

Lord, I am thine, but thou wilt prove
My faith, my patience, and my love;
When men of spite against me join,
They are the sword, the hand is thine.

22nd. We are the clay, thou art the potter. Isa. lxiv. 8. xxix. 16. xlv. 9. xviii. 6. Rom. ix. 20, 21.

Behold the potter and the clay,

He forms the vessel as he please;
Such is our God, and such are we,
The subjects of his high decrees.

23rd.-Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? Rom. viii. 33.

Though sin and guilt infest us here,
In Christ we all complete appear;
The whole that justice e'er demands,
Received full payment from his hands.

24th. If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father. 1 John ii. 1. viii. 34. 1 Tim. ii. 5.

No fiery vengeance now,

Nor burning wrath comes down ;
If Justice calls for sinner's blood,
The Saviour shows his own.

How pleasing is the task;

Nor less to praise him when he grants

Beyond what I can ask.

26th. He shall feed his flock like a

To grace and glory he ordain'd;

My soul approves them well;

Vain is the treach'rous world's disguise,

31st. Neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John x. 28.

This tried Almighty friend,

Is rais'd for their defence;

Where is the power can reach them there,
Or what can force them thence!

All my hope on thee is stay'd―

All my strength from thee I bring;
Cover my defenceless head,

With the shadow of thy wing.

3rd.-There fail'd not aught of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel. Josh. xxi. 45. xxxiii. 14.

Engrav'd as in eternal brass,

The mighty promise shines;

Nor can the powers of darkness raze,
Those everlasting lines.
