OBS. Salomon was the Son of David and Bathsheba, born in the Year of the World 2971, before CHRIST 1029, and 1033, before the vulgar Era. The Name of Solomon fignifies peaceable and is as much as Fredrick in High Dutch. The LORD loved him, and fent the Prophet Nathan unto David, to affure him of his Affection towards the Child, and to give Solomon the Name of Jedidiah, or the Beloved of the LORD.
