The Canadian

Law Times and and Review.

VOL. XXVIII.

JANUARY, 1908.

No. 1.

ANNOUNCEMENT.

Mr. E. B. Brown has been compelled by the pressure of his other duties to resign the Editorship of The Canadian Law Times, a position which he has so ably filled since 1901. We are, however, pleased to announce to the Bench and Bar of Canada and Newfoundland that The Canadian Law Times, founded in 1881, and The Canadian Law Review, founded in 1901, have been amalgamated this month under the name of The Canadian Law Times and Review, which will be published by us under the editorial management of Mr. Charles Elliott, Barrister-atLaw, Toronto, the Editor of The Law Review since its commencement.

The prominent features of the former magazines will be maintained, new departments will be added, and improvements made so as to make The Canadian Law Times and Review practical, instructive, interesting, thoroughly readable, and equally valuable to every lawyer in Canada and Newfoundland.

A new department in The Canadian Law Times and Review will contain the proceedings of the various Bar and Law Associations or Societies throughout Canada and Newfoundland. As the official organ of The Ontario Bar Association fifteen pages will be devoted monthly to Law Reform and the interests of the latter Association.

The Editor will be glad to receive articles interesting to the profession, short paragraphs dealing succinctly with any live legal topic, or new point in any case, news notes of Judges and lawyers, professional changes and announcements, legal anecdotes, etc., etc., and will welcome suggestions and criticisms looking toward the betterment of the new magazine.
