HE first edition of Owen's Law Quizzer was published some years ago and at once

proved its usefulness and popularity. It has now been revised and enlarged by the author, five new chapters added, and references inserted to the volumes of the Hornbook Series covering the same subjects.

Covering in a thorough and systematic manner all of the fundamental and underlying principles of the following twenty-five legal subjects:

Professor Frank Irvine

Dean of the College of Law, Cornell University, says "I have found the first edition of Black the most satisfactory of all the law dictionaries, and I have examined the second edition sufficiently to assure myself that it is a great improvement over the first. Indeed, as a law dictionary, it seems to me ideal. The definitions are concise and precise, and the temptation to embrace text-book and cyclopedic features has been carefully avoided. One volume is thus made to include all that ought to be in a dictionary by excluding what ought not to be there."

Nearly 50 per cent. new matter is added, but the work is still in one volume, and still $6.00

Book look out for "Parallel Citations"

Two Reasons

1. You'll find the Reporters of the National Reporter System and the various Series of Selected Cases in hundreds of libraries where you will not find complete sets of the State Reports. You can therefore more readily look up a reference, if cited to all the places where the case appears. 2. The latest cases are reported only in the Reporters. The omission of Reporter citations proves that the author has not incorporated the latest decisions.

The best text-books do give parallel citations. There is no good reason why this feature should not be required of all books asking the patronage of the bar.
