The rarest of all the original Editions of Mrs. Behn's Dramatic
Writings, which was not represented till after her death. The plot of the
Play is laid at James Town, in Virginia, and the characters present
us with a curious picture of the manners, &c. at that time prevalent
there.

MANUSCRIPT, exquisitely written in a small square character on 51
Membranes of very fine and white but substantial vellum, forming a
Roll measuring about 47 feet 3 inches in length and 4 inches in
breadth, attached to two cylinders of carved ivory about 10 inches in
length with handles 2 inches long, having four broad ornamented
disces for the protection and support of the Rolls, and at the tops
two carved crowns (termed Cether Hathorah or the Crown of the Law),
with carved ivory YOD or Hand to be used as a Pointer, a crimson
silk KESHED or Band, a MAPPA or Canopy of Chinese Brocade richly
embroidered in gold, silver and coloured flowers, and enclosed in a
Mahogany ARON or Ark with embroidered Veil within a wooden box,
ONE OF THE MOST ELEGANT HEBREW ROLLS EVER OFFERED FOR

With this lot will be given a Manuscript and Printed Account of the
