The Thirtieth Annual Meeting of the American Bar Association convened in the City Hall, Portland, Maine, on Monday, August 26, 1907, at 10.30 A. M. The meeting was called to order by George R. Peck, of Illinois, last President of the Association, who introduced the President, Alton B. Parker, of New York. Alton B. Cobb, Governor of the State of Maine: Mr. President and gentlemen of the American Bar Association: The duty that brings to me the honor of an invitation to attend this meeting is a simple but most agreeable one.
