LETTER FROM JUDGE DILLON, NEW YORK CITY.

The Grand Secretary read a letter from Judge Dillon, a former and long-time resident and public officer in Iowa, presenting to the Iowa Department of the Library a volume which he had recently had privately printed for friends, and not for general distribution.

ANNOUNCEMENT.

The Grand Master announced that the ladies of Cedar Chapter, No. 184, Order of the Eastern Star, would give the members of the Grand Lodge and visitors a reception in the evening at the Masonic Library.

INSTALLATION.

Grand Master Lambert announced that he had invited Past Grand Master Ball (4) to conduct the installation ceremonies, which, with the assistance of Brother Martin, Grand Marshal, he proceeded to do. The Deputy Grand Secretary

called the roll of Grand Officers elected and appointed, who severally assumed their proper places, and were duly installed by Past Grand Master Ball.

PAST GRAND MASTER'S APRON.

At the conclusion of the installation ceremonies, Past Grand Master Ball presented Brother Eaton, Grand Master, an apron for him to present in due form to Past Grand Master Lambert, which he did in a few appropriate remarks, whereupon

Past Grand Master Lambert returned his thanks to the brethren of the Grand Lodge in a feeling manner.

RESOLUTION-THANKS TO CEDAR CHAPTER 0. E. S.

Brother Coxe (26) presented and read the following resolution of thanks, and moved its adoption, which—

Carried.

Resolved, That the thanks of this Grand Lodge are due and are hereby tendered to the ladies of the Order of the Eastern Star for the courteous invitation to a reception at the Grand Lodge Library building this evening, and the same is gratefully accepted by the Grand Lodge on behalf of such as may be able to avail themselves of the privileges of the occasion.

Grand Master Eaton then announced the appointment of Past Grand Master Blackmar (318) to succeed himself as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Grand Charity Fund.
