Hora Beatæ Mariæ Virginis secundum usum Rothomagense. 1 vol. 7.6 × 5. Bound in crimson velvet, with silver clasps.

A French MS. of the latter end of the 15th Century, written on 73 leaves of Vellum. It belonged to Marie des Champs, wife of Monsieur de Brevident. It has eight large Paintings, namely, St. John in the Isle of Patmos; The Annunciation; The Visitation; The Announcement to the Shepherds; The Adoration of the Wise Men; The Presentation in the Temple; The Coronation of the Virgin; and Dives and Lazarus; and twentyfour smaller Miniatures in the Borders of the Calendar, and is fully described by Sir William Tite (at whose sale it was bought) in a printed paper within it.

A MS. of the 15th Century in the Flemish tongue, on 263 leaves of Vellum. The Rubrics and small capitals are in red, and the large capitals ornamented in red and blue. Some pages are ornamented with scrolls.

An Italian MS. written in the 16th Century, or late in the 15th, on 187 leaves of Vellum. Thirteen bordered pages, and many illuminated initials.

Calendar, with its 24 Miniatures of the Occupations of the Months, The Betrayal (fo. 16), The Temptation of Adam and Eve (fo. 45), The 4 Evangelists, and the 14 other borders, are ancient and original, as well as the birds, beasts, insects, and nondescripts, on every page; but The Face of The Saviour (fo. 14a), The Agony in the Garden (fo. 16a), The Virgin and Child (fo. 24a), The Descent of the Holy Ghost (fo. 25a), The Virgin and Child with Angels (fo. 32a), The Crucifixion (fo. 46a), The Annunciation (fo. 69a), The Visitation (fo. 70a), The Nativity (fo. 84a), The Announcement to The Shepherds (fo. 90a), The Adoration of the Magi (fo. 96a), The Presentation in the Temple (fo. 102a), The Flight into Egypt (fo. 108a), The "Immaculate Conception (fo. 118a), The Entry into Jerusalem (fo. 124a), King David (fo. 134a), and A Funeral (fo. 160a); are painted by Wing for Mr. Jarman, on 17 additional leaves of Vellum.
