For the history of George Keith's life this is a document of great significance. He had come round in his religious theories, after a widely different career, to the Church of England-the Church to which the Episcopal Church of America is in fact affiliated at the present day.

This unsuccessful attempt upon Canada caused a terrible rage amongst the people in England, which threatened Admiral Walker with death-punishment for his failure. The book is an interesting and detailed justification.
