The Mirror of the World: Subjects, Consciousness, and Self-consciousness

Christopher Peacocke worked in Oxford for many years, including twelve years as Waynflete Professor of Metaphysical Philosophy, before moving to New York in 2000. He taught for four years at New York University, and then moved uptown to Columbia University in 2004. He returns to England each summer to give a seminar and supervise graduates at University College London. In addition to his interests in metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophy of mind, hecontinues to be concerned with issues in the philosophy and perception of music. He is Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
