FIRST MEETING, AT the Annual Meeting held in St John's College, at 8.30 p.m., on Feb. 7, the President, Prof. SKEAT, in the Chair, the following new member was elected: J. D. DUFF, Esq., B.A., Trinity College. The Treasurer's annual statement of accounts, having been duly audited, was adopted. In the absence of the Treasurer his report on the finances of the Society was read by the Secretary. The Secretary gave his report on the condition in the past year; and explained the reasons which had made the appointment of two Secretaries desirable. The following officers were then elected for the ensuing year : President: Professor SKEAT (re-elected). New Vice-President: Mr MOULTON. New ordinary Members of Council: Dr KENNEDY (re-elected), Mr PEILE (re-elected), Mr FENNELL. Treasurer: Mr NIXON (re-elected). Secretaries: Mr POSTGATE (re-elected), Mr VERRALL. Mr GRAY read a paper on the text of the following passages of the Hercules Furens of Euripides: Line 149. Here the Flor.
