Gender Roles and the Bible: Creation, the Fall and Redemption. A Critique of the Feminist Biblical Interpretation

Front Cover
College Press, 1994 - Religion - 320 pages
This work is about feminism. It is an examination and evaluation of how Biblical feminism interprets and uses the Bible to support its view of gender roles.

Understanding the debate over Biblical feminism is essential to answering the questions about the role of women in the church. No one can take the debate over feminism seriously without facing the following questions: Are the feminists correct? Does the Bible indeed teach egalitarianism or hierarchicalism? Does it support feminism or non-feminism?

In our society, and in the church, we must begin to search for Biblical answers to these and many other questions. Only through the exposition of God's Word can we lay the ground work for resolving the complicated and troublesome issues of today.
