Curiosity stamps a value on the most trifling records of antiquity, and we attend with pleasure to the recital of occurrences, in which we are no longer interested. Like every other affection of the human soul, this propensity gathers strength, and becomes more ardent, as its energies are more concentrated, and its object is more limited.
