Family ICHNEUMONIDAE This second supplement of the Hymenoptera Catalog brings many changes, some of them complex, in the nomenclature of the Ichneumonidae. These changes have resulted from revisionary work in several subfamilies, and from a treatise of the type-species of the Foerster genera which were established originally without included species. In several instances, where the conclusions of two competent systematists differed and no specimens of the species involved were available, or no definitive characters given, the course followed was the one involving the least change.

The pagination for species in “Hymenoptera of Beulah, New Mexico," by H. L. Viereck, 1903 (February), Amer. Ent. Soc. Trans. 29: 43 (bottom)-100, differs in the separate (published March 20). In the latter, the article begins at the top of page 43 and ends on page 99. The description of a given species usually occurs one page earlier in the separate. The pagination of species listed in the Catalog is that of the separate except in the Second Supplement, where a few were changed before the reason was discovered.

The following revisions, when they occur in the text, are cited by author and date only because of frequency of occurrence, except that the complete reference is given for all new species and subspecies.
