This volume seems to have been that used by Andrewes when at Pembroke Coll., Cambridge, where he had been nominated by Dr. Watts, then archdeacon of Middlesex, at the first to his Greek scholarships just founded there. It has on the title the autograph of the bishop. 'Lancelot Andrews, Pembrook,' and in the same ink, 'Tho. Watts, Archidiaconus Middlesex.' On the margins of the text are frequent translations into Latin, evidently also by him. 300 neat, 9s.

Christopher Angelus was a native of Greece, and came to England to avoid the persecutions of the Turks; he studied for some time at Cambridge, and afterwards removed to Oxford, where he taught Greek at Baliol College. The above treatise is a full account of the state of doctrine in the Greek Church in the early part of the seventeenth century.
