3 There we shall see his face,

And never, never sin;

There, from the rivers of his grace,
Drink endless pleasures in:
Yea, and before we rise

To that immortal state,

The thoughts of such amazing bliss
Should constant joys create.

4 The men of grace have found
Glory begun below:

Celestial fruit on earthly ground
From faith and hope may grow:
Then let our songs abound,

And every tear be dry:

We're marching through Immanuel's ground, To fairer worlds on high.

9th P. M. 87, 87, 87, 87.

Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

COM

NOME, thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing thy grace:

Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above:
Praise the mount-I'm fix'd upon it;
Mount of thy redeeming love!

2 Here I'll raise mine Ebenezer ;
Hither by thy help I'm come;
And I hope, by thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wand'ring from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed his precious blood.

3 0! to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrain'd to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wand'ring heart to thee:
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it—
Prone to leave the God I love;

Here's my heart, O take and seal it;
Seal it for thy courts above.

Walking with God.

C. M

ALK with us, Lord, thyself reveal,
While here o'er earth we rove;
Speak to our hearts, and let us feel
The kindling of thy love.

2 With thee conversing, we forget
All time, and toil, and care:
Labour is rest, and pain is sweet,
If thou, my God, art here.

3 Here then, my God, vouchsafe to stay, And bid my heart rejoice;

My bounding heart shall own thy sway, And echo to thy voice.

4 Thou callest me to seek thy face;'Tis all I wish to seek;

To' attend the whispers of thy grace,
And hear thee inly speak.

5 Let this my every hour employ,

Till I thy glory see;

Enter into my Master's joy,

And find my heaven in thee.

903

Triumphant joy.

C. M

MY God, the spring of all my joys.

The life of my delights,

The glory of my brightest days,
And comfort of my nights :--

2 In darkest shades, if thou appear, My dawning is begun;

Thou art my soul's bright morning star,
And thou my rising sun.

3 The opening heavens around me shine
With beams of sacred bliss,
If Jesus shows his mercy mine,
And whispers I am his.

4 My soul would leave this heavy clay
At that transporting word,
Run up with joy the shining way,
To see and praise my Lord.

5 Fearless of hell and ghastly death,
I'd break through every foe;
The wings of love and arms of faith
Would bear me conqu'ror through.

Creating and redeeming love.
ATHER, in whom we live,
In whom we are, and move,
The glory, power, and praise receive
Of thy creating love.

2 Let all the angel throng

Give thanks to God on high, While earth repeats the joyful song, And echoes through the sky.

3 Incarnate Deity,

Let all the ransom'd race

Render in thanks their lives to thee

For thy redeeming grace.

4 The grace to sinners show'd,
Ye heavenly choirs proclaim,
And cry, Salvation to our God,
Salvation to the Lamb!

Continued.-Unspeakable joy.

PIRIT of holiness,
all

SPI

Let a thy saints adore
Thy sacred energy, and bless
Thy heart-renewing power.
2 Not angel tongues can tell
Thy love's ecstatic height,---
The glorious joy unspeakable,
The beatific sight.

3 Eternal Triune Lord!

Let all the hosts above,
Let all the sons of men reccid,
And dwell upon, thy love:

4 When heaven and earth are fled

Before thy glorious face,

S. M.

Sing, all the saints thy love hath made,

Thine everlasting praise!

906

M

Praise, delightful.

C. M.

Saviour, my almighty Friend,
When I begin thy praise,

Where will the growing numbers end,-
The numbers of thy grace?

2 I trust in thy eternal word;
Thy goodness I adore :

Send down thy grace, O blessed Lord,
That I may love thee more.

3 My feet shall travel all the length
Of the celestial road;

And march, with courage in thy strength, To see the Lord my God.

4 Awake! awake! my tuneful powers,
With this delightful song;

And entertain the darkest hours,
Nor think the season long.

All-sufficiency of Jesus.

TOW tedious and tasteless the hours

HOW

When Jesus no longer I see!

Sweet prospects, sweet birds, and sweet flowers,

Have all lost their sweetness to me ;

The midsummer sun shines but dim,
The fields strive in vain to look gay;
But when I am happy in Him,

December's as pleasant as May.

2 His Name yields the richest perfume, And sweeter than music his voice; His presence disperses my gloom,

And makes all within me rejoice; I should, were he always thus nigh, Have nothing to wish or to fear; No mortal so happy as I,—

My summer would last all the year.

3 Content with beholding his face,
My all to his pleasure resign'd,
No changes of season or place

Would make any change in my mind:
While blest with a sense of his love,
A palace a toy would appear;
And prisons would palaces prove,

If Jesus would dwell with me there.

4 My Lord, if indeed I am thine,
If thou art my sun and my song,
Say, why do I languish and pine?
And why are my winters so long?
O drive these dark clouds from my sky;
Thy soul-cheering presence restore;
Or take me to thee up on high,

Where winter and clouds are no more.
