4 Come quickly in, thou heavenly guest, Nor ever hence remove;

But sup with us, and let the feast

Be everlasting love.

4

C. M.

The Lamb worshipped on earth and in heaven.

COME, let us join our cheerful songs

With angels round the throne:

Ten thousand thousand are their tongues, But all their joys are one.

2 Worthy the Lamb that died, they cry, To be exalted thus:

Worthy the Lamb, our hearts reply,
For he was slain for us.

3 Jesus is worthy to receive
Honour and power divine;

And blessings more than we can give,
Be, Lord, forever thine.

4 The whole creation join in one,
To bless the sacred Name

Of Him that sits upon the throne,
And to adore the Lamb.

5

Jesus reigns.

L. M.

COME, let us tune our loftiest song,
And raise to Christ our joyful strain;
Worship and thanks to Him belong,
Who reigns, and shall forever reign.
2 His sov'reign power our bodies made;
Our souls are his immortal breath;
And when his creatures sinn'd, he bled,
To save us from eternal death.

3 Burn every breast with Jesus' love;
Bound every heart with rapt'rous joy;
And saints on earth, with saints above,
Your voices in his praise employ.

4 Extol the Lamb with loftiest song,
Ascend for him our cheerful strain;
Worship and thanks to Him belong,
Who reigns, and shall forever reign.

6

The glories of our King.

C. M.

COME, ye that love the Saviour's name,
And joy to make it known,

The Sov reign of your hearts proclaim,
And bow before his throne.

2 Behold your Lord, your Master, crown'd With glories all divine:

And tell the wond'ring nations round,
How bright those glories shine.

8 When, in his earthly courts, we view
The glories of our King,

We long to love as angels do,

And wish, like them, to sing.

4 And shall we long and wish in vain?
Lord, teach our songs to rise:

Thy love can animate the strain,
And bid it reach the skies.

C. M.

Joining the song of the Church triumphant.

SING we the song of those who stand
Around the' eternal throne,

Of every kindred, clime, and land,-
A multitude unknown.

2 Life's poor distinctions vanish here;
To-day the young, the old,

Our Saviour and his flock, appear,
One shepherd and one fold.

8 Toil, trial, suff'ring, still await
On earth the pilgrim throng;
Yet learn we in our low estate
The Church triumphant's song.

4 Worthy the Lamb for sinners slain,
Cry the redeem'd above,
Blessing and honour to obtain,
And everlasting love.

5 Worthy the Lamb, on earth we sing, Who died our souls to save;

Henceforth, O Death, where is thy sting? Thy victory, O Grave?

6 Then hallelujah! power and praise
To God in Christ be given;

May all who now this anthem raise,
Renew the song in heaven.

9th P. M. 87, 87.

Glory to the Lamb.

ARK! the notes of angels, singing,
Glory, glory to the Lamb'!

HA

All In heaven their tribute bringing,
Raising high the Saviour's name.
2 Ye for whom his life was given,
Sacred themes to you belong:
Come, assist the choir of heaven;
Join the everlasting song.

8 Fill'd with holy emulation,
We unite with those above:
Sweet the theme-a free salvation-
Fruit of everlasting love.

4 Endless life in him possessing,
Let us praise his precious name;
Glory, honour, power, and blessing,
Be forever to the Lamb.

4th P. M. 886, 886.

The love of Jesus.

JESUS, thou soul of all our joys,

For whom we now lift up our voice, And all our strength exert,

Vouchsafe the grace we humbly claim; Compose unto a thankful frame,

And tune thy people's heart.

2 While in the heavenly work we join,
Thy glory be our whole design,
Thy glory, not our own:-
Still let us keep this end in view,
And still the pleasing task pursue,
To please our God alone."

8 Thee let us praise our common Lord,
And sweetly join, with one accord,
Thy goodness to proclaim:
Jesus, thyself in us reveal,
And all our faculties shall feel
Thy harmonizing Name.

4 With calmly reverential joy,
O let us all our lives employ
In setting forth thy love;

And raise in death our triumph higher, And sing, with all the heavenly choir, That endless song above.

S. M.

Exhortation to praise and thanksgiving.

ARISE and bless the Lord;

Ye people of his choice;
Arise and bless the Lord your God,
With heart, and soul, and voice.

2 Though high above all praise,
Above all blessing high,

Who would not fear his holy Name, And laud, and magnify?

3 O for the living flame,
From his own altar brought,
To touch our lips, our souls inspire,
And wing to heaven our thought.
4 God is our strength and song,
And his salvation ours;

Then be his love in Christ proclaim'd
With all our ransom'd powers.
5 Arise, and bless the Lord;
The Lord your God adore;
Arise and bless his glorious Name,
Henceforth, forever more.

5th P. M. 4 lines 7s.

Let all the people praise Him.

THANK and praise Jehovah's Name, For his mercies, firm and sure; From eternity the same,

To eternity endure.

2 Let the ransom'd thus rejoice, Gather'd out of every land; As the people of his choice,

Pluck'd from the destroyer's hand.

8 Let the elders praise the Lord,
Him let all the people praise,
When they meet, with one accord,
In his courts on holy days.

4 Praise him, ye who know his love;
Praise him from the depths beneath;
Praise him in the heights above;
Praise your Maker, all that breathe.
5 For his truth and mercy stand,
Past, and present, and to be,
Like the years of his right hand,
Like his own eternity.
