The inspiring, simple strategies, developed for Hobhouse's own country garden, apply to gardens old and new, large and small. The Country Gardener encompasses the whole gardening process, including such down-to-earth practicalities as clearing the ground, improving the soil, and establishing plants. The book features over 150 full colour photographs and detailed descriptions of more than 800 plants."A specific and business like book on chaotic, country-style gardening.
